Current Status -

It started in a secondary school in 1998, with children aged between 10
and 12. Today,
the teachers are still working with Living Values in their classes in
that school. We also work in one care day centre where the children are
4 - 6 years old. Some teachers who work with older children between 15
and 18 years old are also using Living Values in their classes in three
upper secondary schools. A group of teachers meet regularly to discuss
and exchange ideas about how to work with values in their schools.

Impact
Kati is a childminder. She has worked with some United Nations material
on human rights and values such as freedom. She has also been working
with children using the unit on peace in Living Values Activities for
Children aged 2 to 7 years. They talked about questions such as: "What
is peace?" and "What does a peaceful world mean?" and then made drawings
about their answers. She has also done meditations on peace with the
children, after which the children, aged 4 to 6, talked about their
experiences and also expressed them in drawings. They have also been
singing songs about peace and freedom. The children enjoy the atmosphere
of values a lot. They are very creative and have many different thoughts
and ideas.
